SAATCHI & Saatchi client services director Ms Stefanie Cross-Wilson has joined forces with ex-Leo Burnett managing director Mr Tom Hartje to form a new marketing communications company. Ms Cross-Wilson will leave Saatchis in mid-January. The new company, as yet unnamed, will provide non-vested, unbiased analyses of ways for clients to spend their money. ''We will operate in a small number of client sectors, directing clients to the best people to help them and addressing their strategic marketing issues,'' said Mr Hartje. Those sectors will include telecommunications and high-technology, two of the largest global industries. ''There is much natural synergy between clients operating in different sectors who have got similar communications customers and needs,'' said Ms Cross-Wilson. The pair intend to add extra marketing muscle to clients' resources, particularly where growth opportunities outstrip available resources. Their company, which will not compete with strategic marketing consultants or advertising agencies, will offer premium-priced services to clients. ''What clients pay for will pay for itself with the savings that we make for them,'' said Ms Cross-Wilson. The company's focus will be regional and international though local business is not ruled out.
