Highly regarded
I CONGRATULATE the Hong Kong Construction Association on its 75th anniversary.
In serving the community, the Works Branch has stated in its 1995 policy commitments that it will continuously underpin the social and economic development of Hong Kong, satisfy the changing needs of people and improve the quality of life by providing a physical infrastructure through the public works programme.
The success of our challenges depends on our works agencies and the construction industry.
Over the past years, the HKCA has made dedicated efforts to assist the Government in the realisation and delivery of its commitments.
The association has actively participated on the Construction Advisory Board, the highest forum in advising the Government on construction matters.
In particular, its devotion to promoting construction site safety and site safety training, by introducing the green card system and site safety induction course respectively, has been highly regarded in the industry.
