Jakarta joint venture launched

DATACRAFT Asia has announced expansion into Indonesia through a joint venture with the country's largest Information Technology (IT) company, PT Metrodata Electronics.

The joint venture is yet to be approved by the government.

Metrodata will bring local industry and market knowledge to the joint venture.

Metrodata is the largest IT company in Indonesia with revenues exceeding US$100 million.

Datacraft Asia will bring product offerings from its major international telecommunications vendors as well as the depth of its pan-Asian communications systems integrator experience.

The new Indonesian joint venture company, 60 per cent owned by Datacraft Asia and 40 per cent by Metrodata, will have the backing of Datacraft Asia's vast marketing and technical support organisation, including the regional Technical Assistance Centre (TAC) based at the company's recently opened operations centre in Singapore.
