EAGLE Star Insurance is planning on doubling its life insurance sales staff and will be moving from Central Plaza in Wan Chai North to Tower 3 of the World Finance Centre on Canton Road where the firm has just leased 47,000 square feet.
According to sources, the insurance company is expected to sign up for one floor, or roughly 18,000 sq ft, within the next week.
Four months ago, Eagle Star Insurance leased three floors in Cityplaza 3 in Taikoo Shing.
The company will also be signing up to take another one-half floor, or roughly 10,000 sq ft in January, and the remainder around April.
It is expected to move early next year.
Sources said another multinational firm, which they would not name, is discussing taking out 50,000 sq ft of commercial space in the Gateway. The Kowloon-based firm is considering either renting more space in Canton Road or moving into the Gateway.
