NEPTUNE Orient Lines (NOL) of Singapore has changed the name of its company in the territory, Hong Kong Trident Shipping Agency, to NOL (Hong Kong). The move was in line with NOL's policy to standardise names of its front-line offices worldwide, a company official said. NOL (Hong Kong) would continue to offer a full range of shipping agency services. These include cargo canvassing and forwarding, hauling, cargo and port operations, ship husbandry, container storage, container repairs and refurbishing. NOL recently christened four new vessels - two container ships and two product tankers - in Japan. The 4,400-teu NOL Tourmaline and NOL Turquoise will increase the company's container ship fleet to 29. One vessel will be delivered this month and another at the beginning of next year. The 46,500-dwt NOL Sagitta and NOL Vela, which have double hulls, will be delivered in the middle of next year and increase the company's product tanker fleet to seven.
