THE Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (APA) is staging a triple bill on 'the glory of opera and dance' at 7.30 pm this weekend and on Monday.

      The APA's Schools of Dance, Music and Technical Arts are presenting a ballet classic, a modern dance, and a comic opera.

  The programme includes the ballet Petrushka , with music by Igor Stravinsky, the world premiere of Maxwell's Demons, choreographed by APA dance teacher Rosalind Newman, and Rossini's one-act opera The Marriage Contract.

   Performances will be held at the APA's Lyric Theatre. Tickets are available at all Urbtix outlets.
