HONG KONG investors looking to buy overseas residential property can now pick and choose from thousands of available homes in Canada, the US and Australia through their Internet connection.
Residential listings through the Australian branch of international estate agency Jones Lang Wootton have been accessible on the Internet for a number of months now.
For the past year, Century 21 has been providing a similar browsing service for people looking for property in the US and Canada and, to a limited extent, for properties in Hong Kong.
International Hung Hsing Property Agency hooked into one of Canada's largest real estate agencies, Royal LePage, less than a month ago.
Internet users will soon be able to access overseas listings of most of the major international estate agencies in Hong Kong.
Through his Internet connection with Royal LePage, Benjamin Ng, president of Hung Hsing Property Agency, says he can access for his clients a list of thousands of LePage properties and their agents in nine different cities from Victoria, British Columbia, to Halifax, Nova Scotia.
