SING Tao have announced they will be releasing English forward Stephen Stott.
The news comes seven days after the club sacked midfielder Darren Jackson.
Sing Tao chairman Ng Chung said last night Stott would be released before the 24-year-old ex-Purfleet player's contract expires at the end of January.
'Stott is not suitable for our team. It is better for us to release him early so that he can find another club,' said Ng.
Ng also said he would hand over the international transfer document to Jackson after the 24-year-old pays his tax.
Jackson was not available for comment last night but he had earlier said he would return to England as it was unlikely he would be able to find a place with another local club.
'The senior clubs have an agreement that they should not sign players sacked by other clubs in the same season,' said Jackson.
