JARDINE Matheson Holdings has operations in trading and distribution, restaurants, motor vehicles, engineering, construction, shipping and aviation.

This time last year the company changed its listing from Hong Kong to Singapore. At that time, brokerage SG Warburg said Jardine Matheson's diversified earnings profile was attractive with the market turning cautious on Hong Kong and China. It recommended investors add to their stock.

The share price then stood at $55.25, it now trades at $51.43, having underperformed the Hang Seng Index by 23.95 per cent over the period.
