Not breaching regulations

WE refer to Chan Qizhong's letter which was published in the South China Morning Post, on December 16, expressing his opinion on the content of Miss World 1995, broadcast on December 13.

Having consulted our internal compliance monitoring unit, it is its view that the material referred to in the concerned programme, allegedly considered to be of an advertising nature, was in the particular programme context, within the bounds of acceptability and quite unlikely to constitute a breach under the relevant provisions of the regulatory system.
