THE Jockey Club will extend business hours tomorrow night in an attempt to cope with an expected rush of punters for the Triple Trio following the carry-over of a massive $45.3 million from the New Year's Day meeting, writes Robin Parke. Hundred of thousands of TT devotees drew a blank on the first day of 1996 and there is now every prospect of a superb dividend at tomorrow's Sha Tin meeting. Telebet and Off Course Betting Centres will remain open until 8 pm in anticipation of the rush but will open at noon as normal. Information secretary, Wilson Cheng, said: 'Regardless of the change in closing time, we strongly advise our customers to buy tickets early to avoid the last-minute rush and possible disappointment.'
