TENANTS at Helping Hand homes for the elderly are set for a busy few days as they take to the streets to sell 150,000 chocolate chip cookies. The Cookie Campaign, which is in its 10th year, will be launched today. It represents a vital source of income for the group, which is also funded by the Government. The Cookie Campaign has always been popular as it coincides with the run-up to Lunar New Year. The cookies are packed in a red packet. The event will kick off with a ''day of fun'' at the Landmark and New Town Plaza, Sha Tin, from 12.30 pm to 4.30 pm. Cookies at $30 each and handmade handicrafts will be sold at various outlets, including MTR and KCR stations and shopping arcades. Mrs Lung Sau-sing, a tenant at Helping Hand's Siu Sai Wan Jockey Club Housing for the Elderly, will today present a bouquet to the Governor's wife, Mrs Lavender Patten, at the Landmark.
