TAIWAN'S Yeh Chang-ting, still keen to reveal his secret for success, shot a two-under-par 68 to take a three-stroke lead over American Mike Cunning at the halfway stage of the US$500,000 Omega PGA Championship at Clearwater Bay Golf and Country Club yesterday.

Japanese Tour regular Yeh, at five-under 135 for the tournament, led last November's Hong Kong Open for three days and said he would employ special tactics going into the final round at Fanling, which he would reveal should he win.

However, he failed to maintain his momentum, finishing third behind eventual winner, American Gary Webb.

Yeh, who says he revels in the windy conditions, still maintains that his secret strategy can work and is hopeful that he can finally reveal his tactics by winning this week at Clearwater Bay.

'I wanted to say what my secret was the last time, but I didn't win,' said Yeh. 'This time, I hope I can win and then I will say what it is.

'I led for three days at the Hong Kong Open, but this time I hope I can stay in the lead for the whole tournament.' Singapore's Dino Kwek Beng Kwee, who shared the lead with Yeh after the first round on Thursday, saw his chances evaporate with a second round of seven-over-par 77 - 10 shots off his first round of 67.
