AS I came through the security check in Boston, in the US a week last Saturday, there was a large sign on a tripod at the entrance, which stated in large, black letters: 'For the information of travellers, security measures at the following international airports have been judged to be inadequate - LAGOS, NIGERIA; BOGOTA, COLOMBIA; MANILA, PHILIPPINES.' In view of the proximity of Manila to Hong Kong, and the large volume of passenger traffic between the two, perhaps the Philippines Consulate here in Hong Kong would like to comment on the above.
