THE former managing director of the defunct Asean Merchant Credit and Investment House Limited appeared in Eastern Court yesterday on nine fraud charges involving $26 million. Alexis Chan Heung-kong, 51, was arrested by ICAC officers on Friday night afterbeing extradited from the United States. Chan will appear in court again on Friday.
