The case relates to the October arrest of six people by the Independent Commission Against Corruption following a graft complaint.

Three of the arrested - merchant Shao Hong, 36, merchant Lai Chun-ying, 31, and housewife Kwan Yick-chui, 40, were jointly charged by the ICAC with one count of conspiracy to make false passports, identity cards and driving licences between May 1 and October 28 last year. No plea was taken during an October 30 court appearance.

The three remain in custody awaiting another court appearance on January 26.

Of the three who were not charged, one was released on ICAC bail pending further inquiries and two were handed over to the Immigration Department for related inquiries.
