A BUST-UP is looming at ATV after it accidentally broadcast footage of a topless darts match during yesterday's lunchtime news.
Viewers were stunned when a report on a fire in Germany, which left at least 10 people dead, suddenly switched to a clip of two women, wearing only bikini bottoms, playing darts.
Red faced ATV bosses are furious over the boob and have launched an internal investigation.
Sources say they are also threatening to call in the police, believing the six-second insert may have been deliberately spliced into Reuter footage of the fire.
The Television and Entertainment Licensing Authority, the industry watchdog, received at least 33 complaints from viewers watching the Chinese-language Home channel.
The watchdog, which has demanded an explanation from the station, will review the film and may refer it to the Broadcasting Authority.
Punishments for infringement of its code of practice on nudity on television range from a reprimand to a $250,000 fine.
