Educating locals on 'equality'

ABOUT 1,000 local residents were given an insight into the concept of equal opportunities at the recent Eastern District Civic Education Carnival.

Organised by the North Point West Area Committee, the carnival featured a debate between two secondary schools on the merits and demerits of legal protection in the area of employment opportunities. Judges included Legislative Councillor Selina Chow Leung Suk-yee.

Game stalls, television shows and singing performances were also featured to promote the theme.
