I REFER to a letter from Peter Davis, which appeared in the South China Morning Post, on December 4, regarding seat allocation for his friends who travelled with Emirates on November 3, 1995 between Hong Kong and Dubai and onwards to London.
Emirates has already replied to Mr Davis by letter.
As far as possible, Emirates will accommodate seat requests by passengers.
However, seats with bassinet positions are limited, and it is unusual for us to allocate more than two passengers per family to these seats.
This is to ensure that other passengers with infants requiring bassinets may be granted such seats on request.
Our records show that the Scarfe family was granted the additional seat requests by Emirates ground staff in Hong Kong, who persuaded passengers to swap seats in order to allow the Scarfes to be seated in the same row.
