AN army of over 10,000 pop fans packed the Hong Kong Coliseum recently to hear the '18th Top Ten Chinese Gold Songs Award Presentation Concert'.
A total of $3.8 million was raised and donated to the Yan Chai Hospital. The show, hosted by Eric Ng, Money Lo, Michael Leung and Nat Chan, was broadcast live on the Internet.
Viewers worldwide went on-line to cast their votes.
This year RTHK came up with some new awards, like 'Best Cover-Version Song' and 'Best-Selling Artists'. The awards reflect the contribution of Hong Kong's own music professionals and are aimed to boost record sales.
Viewers can see the concert next month via the Net page. Twelve overseas radio stations will screen the show, which will be beamed on ATV Home on February 10. An estimated 5.7 billion people worldwide will have a chance to enjoy the music spectacular.
