FASHION statement of the week had to come from Urban Council chairman Dr Ronald Leung Ding-bong at the Fringe's 'Fun-Raising' dinner. It is a bold man who chooses to dress as a singer who has become more famous for accusations of child molestation, marrying Elvis Presley's daughter and bleaching his face than his latest album. But Leung took on the guise of Michael Jackson with a certain flair, donning sequinned glove and the coolest of shades to thrill his audience with a truly off the wall performance. Stunned by Leung's dramatic entrance, guests dipped into their pockets at M at the Fringe and managed to raise $450,000. A champagne 'Breakfast at Tiffany's' went for $11,000, and the offer to have a flat redesigned by architect Wailee Chow was snapped up for a cool $75,000.
