ICELANDIC singer Bjork, who comes to town this week for two shows at the Queen Elizabeth Stadium, will be winging her way for a show in Beijing afterwards. And guess who has been hiding in Beijing with her boyfriend, away from the prying eyes of the media corp? None other than 'alternative' Canto-pop singer Faye Wong (pictured right). Wong - for the benefit of those who don't know her - returned from a 'study trip' in the United States to instant fame in Hong Kong with an outrageous new look that included chunky boots, ill-fitting sweaters, a bulbous hairstyle and a very eclectic singing style. Sound familiar? Yes, well, it did to a certain music critic who quickly dug out pictures of the-then still-unknown Bjork and, voila, Wong was accused of copying the petite Icelandic. There have been suggestions that the two should get together while they are in the Chinese capital to perform on the same stage . . . Bjork, we hear, is game. Over to you, Faye.
