Inquiry into capsize claim

MIAMI: The United States Coast Guard is investigating reports that a Haitian freighter jammed with 400 fleeing refugees may have capsized three weeks ago between the Bahamas and Cuba.

Officials hope to learn more from eight Haitians who were aboard a small dinghy when they were picked up by the Cuban authorities.
