Students smash school records

TWENTY records were set at the third bi-annual athletic meet of Lok Sin Tong Young Ko Hsiao Lin Secondary School, held recently.

More than 500 students gathered at the Sha Tin Sports Ground for the two-day meet to take part in the 70 events, all of which were keenly contested.

At the opening ceremony, principal Kung Hing-wing encouraged the competitors to do their best and show the true spirit of sportsmanship.

The enthusiastic crowd provided encouraging support for the participating sportsmen.

The trophies and certificates were presented to the students by the school supervisor and Lok Sin Tong chairman, Dr Leung Wing-chiu, Lo Kwok-hung, vice-chairman Lok Sin Tong and Tse Shue-kin, vice-chairman of the school's parent-teacher association.

In a brief address at the closing ceremony, Dr Leung encouraged students to take part in healthy sports rather waste time on 'meaningless games'.
