MITSUI O.S.K. Lines (MOL) has placed the 800-TEU semi-container ships Pacific Maru and Panama Maru in the WAFEX consortium, of which it is a member, to strengthen its service.

WAFEX is serving the ports of Conakry in Guinea and Luanda in Angola with direct calls, offering a minimum two departures a month to and from main ports of West Africa - Lagos, Abidjan, Douala, Tema, Lome, Pointe Noire and Cotonou.

MOL and WAFEX have bolstered the services with the aim to satisfy customers' needs for stable space to West Africa, and even establish ocean transportation for Guinea and Angola - two nations which expanded trade with the Far East.
