THE wholesome Warehouse handed its cafe and music lounge over to young love on Valentine's Day, at the same time hosting a fund-raiser for Yunnan quake victims.

Youths aged between 13 and 18 swamped the Warehouse on Valentine's Day for the first such celebration since it opened in 1994.

Simply titled 'Romance at Warehouse', the event hinted at the possibility of finding love at the venue as DJs fired up catchy dance numbers and ballads. Live band Flagship helped juice up that loving feeling.

The Cantonese movie Butterfly (starring Charlie Young Choi-nei and Nicky Wu Chi-loong) and Only You were screened between dance sessions.

Money raised on the night (members $35, non-members $45) will go to help victims of the Yunnan earthquake. The fund-raising event was promoted through leaflets and posters, which were handed out at schools, while radio listeners were also bombarded with relevant information.

The highlight of the evening was the 'Do You Know I Love You?' competition in which teenagers jotted down their rules-of-thumb for subtly expressing their love to the ones they secretly admired.
