I AM a 16-year-old student who is shocked and disgusted by the barbaric entertainment which was recently shown in Macau.
Watching darts and spears being thrown at bulls while they fight for their lives solely for the sake of amusement is sadistic and totally inhuman. Where is our compassion, our moral decency? Has the lust for money so obsessed us that we lose the qualities that make us human? If so, then it is a poor reflection on mankind.
Bull-fighting is savage and murderous - it should be banned. It is bad enough that these wretched bulls are being slaughtered for their meat - let's not degrade them even further by enraging them and making them half-blind with fear just so we can while away our free afternoons.
All the money in the world could never warrant such cruelty.
