Unemployed Ho Wai-man, 67, was buying a 0.6-gram packet of heroin when he was spotted by Constable Fung Chun-leung in Lung On House, Lower Wong Tai Sin Estate, on October 4.
When arrested, Ho pushed $500 into the constable's belt and begged him to let him go.
But Constable Fung refused the bribe and handed Ho, and his $500, to the Independent Commission Against Corruption.
Ho pleaded guilty to possession of drugs and offering an advantage, before magistrate Stephen Chow at San Po Kong Court.
