A MAN accused of murdering insurance agent Chan Lan-kiu, whose dismembered body was found on Lantau Island on February 16, appeared in Fanling Court yesterday.
Cheung Moon-keung, 29, showed signs of strain as he stood wearily in the dock, charged with the murder of 34-year-old Chan. The former Top Glory Insurance agent had been missing for a week when her body was discovered by 50 police officers searching the remote hillside.
Cheung is the second man charged with the murder. Lo Yau-fuk, 28, was charged on February 28 with committing the murder on February 7.
Magistrate David Duggan adjourned Cheung's case until Thursday to allow investigators time for further inquiries. No plea was taken.
Detectives are still searching for a third suspect.
