HARDWORKING Yugoslav striker Marko Kraljevic is set to leave Uhlsport-Rangers for the S.League in Singapore.

Kraljevic has won respect from fans and players for his high workrate on the pitch since joining Rangers last season.

He will play his last game in the territory against Mansion in a league match on Thursday at the Shamshuipo Sports Ground.

Kraljevic will join S.League side Balestier Central in less than two weeks.

Before coming to the territory last year, the Yugoslav also had a stint with Malaysian side Kelantan.

Kraljevic will fly to Singapore before the March 15 transfer deadline. The S.League will kick off in April.

The rugged forward, scorer of seven goals this season, said: 'I'll probably be leaving either on March 14 or March 15 depending on my flight schedule. I'm a bit sad that I'm leaving Hong Kong but I have an opportunity to play in the new S.League in Singapore which should be exciting.

'It's been a disappointing season with Rangers. I'm all alone up front. The Singaporean team asked me to come back and I have accepted their offer.' Kraljevic is the fifth foreign player to be released by Rangers this season and the second striker to leave in five months after Australian Alistair Edwards left for home last November.

Kraljevic's absence will present more selection problems for Rangers, who have not been able to reproduce last season's form when they lifted the Senior Challenge Shield and the FA Cup.
