THE continued spate of schoolchild suicides illustrates the helplessness some members of our younger generation feel. They are vulnerable to different kinds of mental hazards, which they are not yet capable of counteracting, in a society with an abusively manipulative, corrupt and opportunistic culture. We should not ban media coverage on these tragedies, but should try to tackle the root of the problem. We should try to solve this problem and advocate mental hygiene and proper values.
