THE vice-president of the foreign exchange and treasury division of Hongkong Bank's Taiwan branch, Jason Hsu, says the branch has not been affected by the missile tests because it mainly is engaged in corporate business. 'To my knowledge, corporate behaviour is quite normal,' he said. 'Businessmen are expecting this kind of missiles exercise to this extent. But beyond that extent, I can't promise.' Mr Hsu said Hongkong Bank intended launching retail banking in Taiwan as the government deregulated the market.
