PEDESTRIANS helped restrain a mainland illegal immigrant yesterday after he had robbed a tourist in Wan Chai. Mrs Amy McKirdy, 74, was walking at the junction of Gloucester Road and Canal Road West with her husband, Robert, 69, when the man snatched her handbag. Pedestrians gave chase and subdued the man.
