THE initial response to the upcoming sale of 64 flats in Laguna City, in Lam Tin, has been strong, with 332 prospective buyers registering, the developer, Cheung Kong (Holdings) says. Registration will end on Thursday and the flats will go on sale on Saturday. The flats are offered at an average of $5,209 a square foot; 5 to 6 per cent higher than the last sale in January. Sun Hung Kai Properties said its planned sale of 64 units in Woodland Crest in Sheung Shui on Saturday was oversubscribed. It said it might offer more flats, which are at an average of $3,812 a sq ft. Registration ends tomorrow. China Overseas Land & Investment said it registered more than 50 potential buyers yesterday for today's sale of 32 flats in Yanville, in Wan Chai. It said it would release more units for sale.
