Royal Navy sailors struggled to save a diver's life yesterday as her friends looked on, running a video recorder.
Leung Wai-chun, 44, died after suffering breathing difficulties while diving in Rocky Harbour, Sai Kung, with nine men and three women .
She was brought aboard the boat off Town Island, but was left lying on her back on the deck while one of her friends went in a motorboat to fetch help from HMS Starling in Rocky Harbour.
A speedboat with a five-man crew was sent to help the diver.
When the Navy team got to her at 12.15 pm, her eyelids and fingers were blue and her tongue was folded across the back of her throat.
'There were about six crew all standing around the female who was on her back. She'd obviously been sick,' said Starling's commander, Lieutenant James Morley.
