Renowned Chinese mathematician Chen Jingrun, aged 63, has died in Beijing.

  Mr Chen was a fellow of China's Science Academy and a senior researcher of its Mathematics Institute.

   His analytic theory of numbers had won world recognition.

   He is also a leading academic in the study of Goldbach's conjecture.
