Regional Councillor Yim Tin-sang (pictured) won a comfortable victory over rival Wong Yin-ping in Sunday's district board by-election in Tuen Mun's Siu Hei constituency.

Mr Yim, vice-chairman of the Association for Democracy and People's Livelihood, scored 1,504 votes, while Ms Wong received 185 votes. Only 16.5 per cent of the more than 10,000 voters cast their ballots, down from 36.6 per cent in the district board election in 1994.
