A group of 42 young leaders had a successful get-together recently at Diocesan Girls' School.
The meeting was an opportunity for the members of the Hong Kong Union for Young Leaders to get to know each other better and make plans for future social service programmes.
The orientation day started with an outline of the history and objectives of the union, followed by a round of introductions to meet the union's teacher advisers and committee members.
The discussions were followed by a range of activities designed to give the participants a clearer understanding of the union.
But the main item on the agenda was drawing up a programme for a social service day.
The 42 members divided themselves into six groups and each group had to come up with a proposal for the programme. The proposals showed great variety and originality.
The members were impressed by their team members' enthusiasm and creative approach to the task.
