Tokyo Broadcasting (TBS) president Hirozo Isozaki has announced his resignation after admitting the network had shown a video to the Aum Supreme Truth doomsday cult before it was broadcast.

   Isozaki admitted to parliament last week that TBS had allowed senior Aum members to see an interview with Tsutsumi Sakamoto, a lawyer campaigning against the cult. The interview was never broadcast and Sakamoto, along with his wife and son, were found dead. Prosecutors allege Aum guru Shoko Asahara ordered the lawyer killed after learning about the interview.
