Young shutterbugs can now win cash prizes and cameras by sending in their entries for the Hong Kong Flower Show Photographic Competition.
The competition, jointly organised by the Urban Council, Regional Council, Television Broadcasts Limited (TVB) and Stereo Limited, is one of the activities of the Flower Show held at Victoria Park last month.
It is divided into four categories. Categories A, B and C are open to all Hong Kong residents, while Category D will feature works of full-time students aged 18 or below. The theme for Category A is 'Portraits of TVB artistes', 'Floral' for Category B, and 'Sidelights' for Category C.
However, entries for Category D can focus on any related subject or theme.
Photographs submitted should be 20.3 cm by 25.4 cm for categories A and B and 12.7 cm by 17.8 cm for categories C and D.
There is no limit on the number of entries and no mounting is needed. All entries must be colour photographs. Slides will not be accepted.
