NINETY schools submitted more than 2,000 entries for the World Children's Olympics Games Art Competition last year. ''This competition is aimed at joining the world of sports and that of art by encouraging children to express creatively in art forms what the Olympics Games genuinely mean to them,'' the Director of Education, Mr Dominic Wong Shing-wah, said. Speaking at a prize presentation ceremony recently, Mr Wong said 10 of the submissions had been chosen to compete in the international contest which will be held in Lausanne, Switzerland. The World Children's Art Competition is jointly organised by the Education Department, the Amateur Sports Federation and the Olympic Committee of Hongkong. Mr Wong praised the committee for its tremendous contribution in the field of sports, specially in the promotion of the Olympic movement. Four secondary school students were invited to participate in the international youth camp at Barcelona with more than 600 youths from 65 countries held from July 23 to August 10 last year. They are Rany Chau (leader) of Sacred Heart Canossian College, Hui Kit-mei of Fung Kai No 1 Secondary School, Li Ko-kei of Shun Lei Catholic Secondary School and Chan So-man of Tung Wah Group of Hospitals Kap Yan Secondary School. During their 19-day stay in Barcelona, the four Hongkong representatives were invited to participate in various activities. The activities included the Olympic Games Opening and Closing Ceremonies, an Olympic Village party, friendly matches, swimming and climbing courses, visits and excursions. Ngan Wah-ping of Tai Po Old Market Public School AM. Group 3 (Ages 12-16) - 1. Cheng Ka-man of Sha Tin Government Secondary School; 2. Chan Siu-fung of Sha Tin Government Secondary School; 3. Leung Chi-man of Hongkong True Light College. Group 2 (Ages 9-11) - 1. Kwan Mon-ho of St Bonaventure Catholic Primary School; 2. Lane Liu of Heep Yunn Primary School; 3.
