Double delight for Rosaryhill student

It was a day to celebrate for 18-year-old Lee Ah-tat who won both the overall championship as well as the top award in the Secondary School Section of the Urban Council's International Arts Carnival (IAC) 1996 Poster Design Competition.

His design, featuring a monkey and a rod puppet, created an energetic and lively mood symbolising the spirit of the IAC summer programmes.

It will be the motif of this year's IAC main poster.

The competition attracted over 500 entries from primary and secondary school students.

While Ah-tat, a Form Six student of Rosaryhill School, won the first prize in the Secondary School Section, the second prize went to Lau Ho-ying of Jockey Club Ti-I College. The third place was shared by Chu King-yin, Fung Wai-tak, So Chik-mei, and Lau Wing-yat of Kei Heep Secondary Technical School.

The 10 outstanding entries (five from each section) were from Poon Wei-lun, Tau Yip-to, Liu Pui-kuen, Lester Stephen Yu, Ho Man-hin, Yick Ling-yan, Cheung Tak-ming, Michael Tse Wai-ho, Yeung Ka-wai and Kwun Kwok-sing.
