'Good husband' behind torrent of hate mail

The man behind the poison pen letters is a 'good person' who enjoys playing the guitar and listening to rock music, says his wife.

Winessa Chow Suet-fong, 23, married Wong, 30, at the end of 1994.

Their relationship blossomed when they were working for the Pui Kee Finance Company. He was a director and she a secretary.

Speaking outside court, Ms Chow said it was not a case of love at first sight. They were friends who 'naturally fell in love with each other'.

The picture of Wong painted by his adoring wife is very different to that suggested by the malicious words used in the letters he sent to prominent people.

'He is nice to everyone. He is a humorous and reliable man,' she said.
