Traffic deluge

I live in Mid-Levels and feel the problem of traffic congestion is getting worse.

It is especially bad during rush-hours at Caine Road, which was not designed for heavy traffic.

I know that the Government has tried to improve things, by lowering the plot ratio of new buildings and constructing the Central Escalator.

However, there are still many residential developments on the west side of Mid-Levels and if the increase in the number of residents continues at the present rate, the congestion will get worse.

The Transport and Town Planning departments are going to have to come up with short-term and long-term measures to make it easier for residents to reach their places of work.
