FRONT:Marketing & Communications Consultancy (F:M & CC) has joined the growing number of new companies set up by ex-advertising industry senior management to act as advisers to clients looking for more cost-efficiency and reach-effectiveness from their advertising and marketing budgets.
F:M & CC, established at the end of last year by Mr Alex Pithie, aims to encourage small-to medium-sized companies to use other means of advertising.
''Many people let themselves be seduced by advertising, thinking it is the be-all and end-all of promotion and that it requires a lot of money,'' said Mr Pithie.
''There are other ways to be more targeted and focused. We look at clients' markets and their products and then suggest a marketing mix that suits their needs,'' he said.
That can include anything from simple newsletters, sales literature and brochures through to direct mail, the provision of databases, seminars and promotions via public relations, and sales promotion. F:M & CC also offers simple market analysis and an agency advisory service for clients wishing to approach or select an advertising agency or campaign.
''Our philosophy is to help clients apply the best techniques possible via a broad mix of advertising but not for a huge amount of money,'' said Mr Pithie.
