It is a breathtaking moment. When the 'Death Saw' descends on the slender body of David Copperfield and slices the world's best-known and richest illusionist in half, it is hard to believe, or disbelieve, what you see.
Then there is the flying illusion. The 1.82-metre magician casually takes off and flies around the stage with not a wire in sight.
And yes, he and his assistants can vanish into thin air faster than you can say 'wow'.
Copperfield is either a man who works very hard at his trade or an alien from outer space.
'I'm somewhere in between,' the 39-year-old entertainer joked after a show in Australia last week.
Indeed, his illusions are so convincing, weird and mind boggling, that some have given up asking the question 'how' and just accept as fact that David Copperfield can fly and walk through brick walls.
