A WOMAN woke up to find she had four breasts and a deformed nose after a $47,000 plastic surgery operation went disastrously wrong, the Apple Daily reported. The silicon implants were 'carelessly' inserted and had shifted to the top of her genuine bosoms to create 'quadra-breasts'. The plastic surgeon involved had his medical licence revoked for 12 months and was dealt a two-year suspended jail term after the horrified patient took legal action. The surgeon had violated the code of professional conduct by receiving commission from a beauty parlour which acted as his middleman, the paper said.
Economy trauma URBAN Councillor San Stephen Wong Han-ching wants legislators to travel business class on future foreign fact-finding missions. It seems the councillor couldn't stomach being treated like cattle in the 'stuffy and crowded' economy class when he flew to North America, the Apple Daily. So exhausted was Mr Wong that doctors pronounced him 'sick on arrival' in Canada. He told a council meeting: 'Being stuck in economy class for more than 10 hours can't give you any peace of mind. The babies are crying, it is jam-packed with people and nobody can sleep.' Mr Wong now wants all legislators to travel business class so they can avoid his economy-class trauma.
Pint-sized punter AN illegal gaming machine turned a seven-year-old girl into a pint-sized professional punter, the Oriental Daily said. The Yuen Long girl had 'her heart and soul' corrupted after she fell under the evil spell of a machine illegally installed in a nearby store. The girl's favourite game was horse racing. 'Don't bet on the horse with such a strong rate, it never wins' the girl advised. 'The more you bet, the more you win.' On one lucky day the girl stacked up an $8 fortune. On her worst day she blew $10 in savings.
Lizard death plunge A HUGE lizard's break for freedom ended in tragedy last week after it jumped out of a 13-storey window. The Oriental Daily said the half-metre-long flying lizard tried to escape from the high-rise flat on Mo Fan Estate in North Point. One shocked passer-by said the lizard hit the ground with a deafening crash and splashed blood everywhere. The reptile died of internal bleeding. Mr Lau, the 19-year-old owner, told police he had made a 'big mistake' by leaving the window open and tempting the lizard to take the plunge.
Oops! Wrong brothel A DRUNKEN man earned two black eyes when he knocked on the wrong door looking for sex in the middle of the night. The 41-year-old thought he was calling on one of his regular prostitutes but instead woke-up a decent family, the Oriental Daily said. When he asked for sex the family went beserk and attacked him with a bat. Confused by the unfriendly reception, the man ran for his life and complained to the police.
Bad Bingo number A BRAVE puppy owner broke her hand after trying to rescue her beloved pet last week. Tung Shuk-fan, 22, tried to climb out of her fourth floor flat down to the second floor podium where little Bingo was trapped, the Apple Daily reported. But she slipped and fell, breaking her hand and cutting her head. The dog was rescued just in time for Ms Tung to give it a hug before she was driven away to hospital in an ambulance.
