Pop singers, disc jockeys and sports stars gathered in Tsim Sha Tsui recently to announce the details of the All-Stars Sports Challenge '96.
The event, organised by Hit Radio, is aimed at promoting the Atlanta Olympic Games and Olympic spirit in the territory.
Artistes and disabled athletes will team up for the track and field tournament at Tai Po in August.
The event will promote the territory's sporting culture and boost awareness of Olympic ethics.
Planning for specific tournament events was still in progress, according to athletes from the Hong Kong Sports Association for the Physically Disabled.
'The original plan was that seven teams would compete in the 4 x 100 metres relay and all representatives of the association would run the last 100 metres,' said Fung Ting-ki, a 16-year-old fencer.
