Housing Authority chairman Rosanna Wong Yick-ming has accepted a challenge to take international experts on a tour of Kai Lok Temporary Housing Area - where protesters yelled abuse and shook a rat cage at the Governor last year.
Ms Wong and senior authority members will take the foreign delegates, here to attend this week's housing conference, to Kai Lok and Kai Cheung in Kowloon Bay tomorrow afternoon.
Residents met last night to discuss how they should greet the chairman and guests.
The four-day 'Housing the Millions - The Challenge Ahead' conference has drawn 150 housing experts from 18 countries. Tomorrow is the last day for site visits to housing estates.
Six site visits were originally planned tomorrow, including a public housing estate, housing for the elderly, a Home Ownership Scheme and a redeveloped estate.
But housing groups attacked the selection as 'cosmetic', because temporary housing areas, caged homes and roof-top dwellings were not included.
