Avic in Sichuan venture

Avic Group International says it and Sichuan United Electronic Technology Development Corp have agreed to jointly develop a series of major telecommunication projects, including wireline, wireless mobile, paging and satellite networks across Sichuan province.

The terms of the agreement call for Avic to secure project financing, obtain state-of-the-art technologies and co-ordinate the construction of the networks.

Sichuan United will acquire the necessary government approvals and licences, provide the required frequency sources and interconnect agreements and actively promote telecommunications development within the province.
